Bridget Beck has been making beads for approximately 10 years. Originally she started out making stained glass and gradually worked her way through fused and slumped glass. Eventually she found herself with an abundance of scrap glass which she could not bring herself to throwing out. As result, she took a class in beadmaking with the intent of using her scraps. After her first classes, she was hooked and fell in love with the art of creating handcrafted glass beads.
After taking a class with world-renowned artist Sharon Peters in 2001, her addiction to the odd and unusual beads stuck! In studying under numerous glassmakers around the world, such as Jim Smircich and Doug Remshneider, Bridget's beads have taken on a life of their own. With each new instructor leaving their imprint on her style and skills, Bridget herself has become one of the best.
Bridget's beads have been published in Bead Unique Magazine and 2 newspapers - Dayton and Toledo.
Bridget's beads are available through many fine bead shops (some of the shops are listed in my Links) and at Bead Shows (listed on my Shows). Bridget additionally teaches soldering classes while she is showing her beads at Bead Shops.
Bridget loves new ideas and challenges so if you have any special requests she would love to try them, so don't be scared to send her an e-mail.
Additionally, Bridget has a husband (John), 3 sons (Adam, Jay and Brent), and 2 crazy dogs Cora and Sprewell (yes like Latrell).
